Is Kenny Kunene “In Search of The Magic Pussy”?

I read this piece, In Search of The Magic Pussy, and the comments on it a few weeks back. Find time to read the comments too. Some of the comments are instructive. Some are interesting. Some confusing. And some just funny, like the man who wrote: ‘My wife had a magic pussy when I met her. Who knows where she’s keeping it these days?’ There is a bit of not very well-concealed sadness in that one too.

The piece comes from the Good Men Project, which is one the blogs I follow. I recommend it.

I left the piece for a while to think on it. I am still thinking.

Talk about blunt. What an in-your-face title! But, as the writer, says, “If we’re honest with ourselves, isn’t that how many of us think—or have thought?”

Is it really true that many of us looking for the magic pussy, mother-deal, clothing item that will make us feel like gods, car to shut all their mouths? I don’t know. Really. So, let me think some more on that. For, the thing is, sometimes I think I get sex. I read about it. Listen to people. Watch people. Write it. Teach it. And sometimes – well, I am married. Anyhow, it mostly makes sense to me.

But there are times when I can’t quite figure it out. It is messy stuff, sexual desire. Because sometimes, many times, sex seems to have almost nothing to do with magic cocks or pussies. As the author observes, “The latest generation of young women and men seem to have gone to the opposite extreme of the magic pussy myth. With the latest collusion between young men and women to create the ‘hookup’ generation, nearly all of the magic has been stripped away. Sex has become a secular and mundane activity. Sex has been dissociated from intimacy and connection and any desire for more than a casual connection”.

If the search for magic is not the answer, is hooking-up better than the pains of close intimacy? Is it because of the confusion of searching for The One and never finding him or her that we rather have casual sex? Or are we in a different time?

Anyhow, in light of the media attention on Kenny Kunene and his 15 or more girlfriends, I thought I would put a link to the article for those who have not seen it.

Question is, could it be that Kunene is searching for the magic pussy? But what of the women? What are they searching for? Money? Fame? That, though, is a question for another day.

    • It struck me that Kunene is a polygamist, actually, without the hassle of having to get married. So not much of a difference between him a certain a president and kings, is there?

  1. Thank you so much for referencing my “Magic Pussy” piece here. As I’ve said in a few comments, it is a launching point to stimulate discussion and acknowledge how many men think at certain points in their life and what the effect of that is. I’m grateful that I’ve stimulated more thinking here as well.
